Les biscuits au gingembre de grand-maman

Alors la attention, ouvrez bien vos mirettes, car je vais vous dévoiler une des recettes de ma Grand-Maman. Bon ce n'est pas une des recettes les plus secrètes, parce qu'il y en a certaines que je ne donnerais jamais, jamais au grand JAMAIS !
En tout cas, ces biscuits sont mes biscuits au gingembre préférés (oui, c'est normal puisque ce sont ceux de ma Grand-Maman, mais ce sont les meilleures quand-même!). Je me rappelle qu'à chaque fois que ma mère les faisait ça sentait bon dans toute la maison et j'avais du mal à les laisser refroidir.
Ce qui est bizarre, c'est que je crois que je n'en ai jamais mangé fait par Grand-Maman. Peut-être la prochaine fois où on ira au Canada, je lui demanderais qu'on en fasse. Parce que les miens ils sont pas comme ceux que fait ma Maman. J'ai du mettre trop de mélasse, mais comme la recette est en dose américaine, j'ai "traduit" les mesures...
Donc ici je vais donner les deux mesures, comme ça pas d'erreurs !!



Biscuits au gingembre :
(pour 2 plaques)
  • 2tasses (230g) de farine
  • 1 CS de gingembre
  • 2 cc levure
  • 1 cc de cannelle
  • 1/2 cc sel
  • 3/4 tasse (170g) beurre
  • 1 tasse (225g) sucre
  • 1 oeuf non battu
  • 1/4 tasse (45ml) de mélasse

- Tamiser ensemble la farine et les ingrédients secs.
- Crémer le beurre. Ajouter le sucre, puis la mélasse et l'oeuf.
- Ajouter les ingrédients secs.
- Former des petites boules et déposer sur une plaque.
- Cuire à 180°C pendant 12-15 min., jusqu'à ce qu'ils soient légérement bruns et craqués.
- Refroidir sur une grille.

Bonjour,

si une tasse = 1 cup j'arrive à d'autres résultats que toi.

2 cups de farine : 250 gr
3/4 cup de beurre : 180 gr
1 cup de sucre : 59,1 ml

Pour calculer je me suis basée sur mon programme de recettes et un site avec des tables de conversion.

Merci pour cette recette qui tombe à pic : je vais utiliser tes biscuits pour un fond de cheese cake puiqu'en France on a encore beaucoup de mal à les trouver tout faits. Et bien sûr, je me délecterai du reste : j'aime tellement leur petit goût épicé.

Hannah : j'ai moi aussi utilisé un site de conversion, mais ce n'est pas toujours très juste. Pour la mélasseça me donnait 60ml, mais c'était trop.
Il faudra que je demande à ma mère comment elle convertit !

Moi aussi, j'aimerais bien savoir s'il faut du gingembre frais ou plutôt en poudre, et si je pourrais remplacer la mélasse par autre chose, du miel par exemple? Merci, ça a l'air très très bon!

kitchenette : j'utilise du gingembre en poudre et pour la mélasse, je ne sais pas, mais tu peux en trouver facilement dans les hypermarchés, au rayon étrangers, avec les produits anglo-saxons (c'est une boîte en métal rouge!). voila! :)

Je l'ai fait un tradition de faire les biscuits au gingembre chez mon père quand je suis là pour Noël. Comme la dernière fois, la recette était en français, et je ne voulais pas les faire d'une recette en angais (ou même américain, mais, qui sait, vraiment?). Et j'ai trouvé le votre! (Encore! ^_^;) Ce que j'aime le mieux est que les mésurements sont aux celles qu'on utilise en amérique.... alors... c'est une recette américain? (Ou peut-être canadienne? Quelquefois, on voit les recettes canadiennes qui utilisent les mésurementrs américains...)

Même si oui, j'aimerais bein essayer le votre. Je vous dira comment la famille les aime!

J'ai fait ta recette qui me semble déjà délicieuse (biscuits au four) mais ils n'aplatissent pas autant, ils semblent rester entre la boule et la galette... Joli petit biscuit, mais je ne sais pas pourquoi il demeure rond!
